In the performing arts, Saskatchewan boasts an astonishing
array of activity including two full professional symphonies,
opera, jazz, contemporary dance, and no less than seven professional
theatre companies. Saskatchewan communities host touring events,
powwows, performance rodeos, festivals or bands, dance troupes
and a variety of performing arts collectives. Performing artists
commission, create, perform or record work all over the province.

The Performing Arts Showcase features, on a rotational basis,
examples of what Saskatchewan artists are achieving in their
communities. Our current features are:
Dancing Sky Theatre

Live, professional theatre in small town Saskatchewan is a
growing phenomenon.
Saskatchewan Native
Theatre Company

This vibrant Saskatoon company offers workshops and presents
the stories of Aboriginal youth as recounted and performed
by the participants themselves.
New Dance Horizons

A small contemporary dance company with a not-so-small reputation,
Regina's New Dance Horizons offers a centre for movement,
dance creation, presentation and research.
