In the performing arts, Saskatchewan boasts an astonishing array of activity including two full professional symphonies, opera, jazz, contemporary dance, and no less than seven professional theatre companies. Saskatchewan communities host touring events, powwows, performance rodeos, festivals or bands, dance troupes and a variety of performing arts collectives. Performing artists commission, create, perform or record work all over the province.

A small contemporary dance company with a not-so-small reputation, Regina's New Dance Horizons offers a centre for movement, dance creation, presentation and research.
