Creative Partnerships

Creative Partnerships - Explore and Connect funds projects that allow eligible applicants to engage in the arts through performances, workshops, exhibitions, commissions, etc. led by a professional artist or arts professional (e.g., curator), and presented as single events or as a series.

Creative Partnerships - Explore and Develop funding assists eligible applicants to research, plan and develop an artist residency that may lead to an application for a Creative Partnerships - Artist in Residence project.

Creative Partnerships - Artist in Residence funding assists eligible applicants to host an artist in residence project by contracting a professional Saskatchewan artists in any discipline to collaboratively engage the community in arts activities.

Creative Partnerships is a joint initiative of the Saskatchewan Arts Board and SaskCulture Inc. and is supported by funding provided by the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation

Application Closing Date 

  • Explore and Connect/Explore and Develop: October 15
  • Artist in Residence: April 15

Note: If the application closing date falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the closing date is moved to the next working day.

Eligibile Applicants

  • Eligible Applicants: Partnerships that include organizations, community groups, businesses or other stakeholders and professional artists

Maximum Funding

  • Explore and Connect/Explore and Develop: $10,000
  • Artist in Residence: $40,000


  • Applicants are informed of grant decisions no later than 45 days after the deadline.  
  • A list of grant recipients will be posted below.
