How are the funds allocated?

The majority of the available funds is provided through the Arts Board's program partner, SaskCulture Inc., using lottery funds obtained from the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation. A smaller portion, currently about $150,000, is contributed by the Arts Board.

The Arts Board strikes the adjudicating panel according to the agreed upon procedure, which convenes on the one occasion to review all submissions, meet with the applicants, and provide funding recommendations. The allocations are then ratified by the Arts Board and the lottery sector.
