How is my personal information handled?

Information submitted in funding applications is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. View our full confidentiality statement here.
 

When can I drop my grant applications at your offices?

The Regina and Saskatoon offices are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 

What are the standard per diem rates?

There is no set standard within the program itself for budgeting purposes; however, current per diem rates within the Saskatchewan public service are as follows: the in-province per diem is $41 and the out-of-province per diem is $51.
 

What if the application deadline is on a weekend or holiday?

If the deadline falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the deadline is moved to the next working day.
 

Do you fund music videos?

Music videos are not eligible for funding under our current programs.

 

What is a personal contribution?

Your personal contribution is the eligible project expense amount left over after you've listed and totalled your revenue sources for your project (including the Arts Board grant request), i.e. the amount you'll have to contribute to complete the project.
 

What are my chances of receiving a grant?

The funding demand and number of applications varies in each program and at every deadline. The Saskatchewan Arts Board is able to fund between 30 to 40 per cent of the total grants recommended for funding by juries.
 

How do you define a professional artist?

Professional artists have completed training in their discipline through formal studies or apprenticeships,  maintain a professional practice, and display or present their work in a manner recognized by peers in their art form. 

 

Can I fax or e-mail my application?

We do not accept funding applications via fax or email at this time. Applications must be mailed or dropped off at either the Regina or Saskatoon offices:

Can I drop my funding application off at the Saskatoon office?

Do applications have to be received by the deadline?

Applications are accepted in-person or by mail at the Regina or Saskatoon Arts Board locations. As long as the application is post-marked (mailed before the deadline) or dropped off by the deadline date, it will be accepted.

 

How do I apply for funding, and what are the deadlines?

Funding applications are available for download under each funding program. Deadlines vary from program to program. Applications must be submitted in-person or postmarked by the deadline date, where applicable.

 

Will I receive a T4A for my grant or scholarship?

T4As are issued to recipients of Individual Artists grants, Indigenous Pathways Initiative - Arts Grants, Prince Edward Drama Scholarships and the Premier's Centennial Arts Scholarships. All other grant recipients do not receive T4As.
 

When will I receive my grant cheque?

After your grant has been approved, a cheque is typically sent within 30 days prior to the project start date.

 

Who received funding and who were the jurors at the recent deadline?

This information is printed in our Annual Report, which is published within three months of our fiscal year end (March 31).

Names of recipients and amount of funding distributed, as well as jury members, are published on our website within 30 days after board approval of grant allocations.

 

Which artistic discipline does my work fall under?
