In June 2008, the Arts Board entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport (PCS) for the development and delivery of the Creative Industries Growth and Sustainability Program with an annual contribution of $1.5 million. The program is designed to facilitate the commercial development of the creative industries and ensure they are ready for growth.

The Arts Board has established a Creative Industry Advisory Committee to advise the Arts Board on the development, implementation and evaluation of the Creative Industry Growth and Sustainability Program, as per the agreement with PCS.
