Committees and Panels

The Saskatchewan Arts Board uses advisory processes to gather input on a wide range of general and specific issues, in accordance with The Arts Board Act, 1997. The processes are designed so the Arts Board may maintain regular and direct contact with you on important issues affecting the arts, and fulfill its mandate to create an environment in which the arts thrive for the benefit of everyone in Saskatchewan.

Creative Industry Advisory Committee

The Creative Industry Advisory Committee advises the Arts Board on the development, implementation and evaluation of the Creative Industry Growth and Sustainability Program as per an agreement with the Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is made up of members of the Arts Board's Board of Directors. It oversees the operating activities of the Arts Board and acts as an advocate for the board with government officials.

Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is made up of members of the Arts Board's Board of Directors. It provides governance to enhance organizational performance and to ensure the Arts Board governance system meets its obligations to the agency's stakeholders.

Indigenous Arts Advisory Council

The Indigenous Arts Advisory Council considers and advises the Saskatchewan Arts Board on policies, programs, delivery mechanisms and integrated initiatives in the arts and their impact on First Nations, Métis or Inuit people in Saskatchewan.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee solicits and receives nominations from the arts community for appointment to the Board of Directors (when required) and provides the Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport with a list of the nominees.

Touring Advisory Panel

The Touring Advisory Panel (TAP) is a group of nine individuals representing various stakeholders of the arts touring community. It provides advice, input and assistance with development and evaluation of the Culture on the Go program.

Young Artists Advisory Panel

The Young Artists Advisory Panel advises the Arts Board on issues that affect young artists and arts administrators (30 or under) in Saskatchewan and helps to ensure the Arts Board's programs, activities and communications are relevant to the next generation of Saskatchewan’s artists.
